The Hilarious Pancake Fail of Catherine, Princess of Wales

Last Shrove Tuesday, the Princess of Wales, Catherine Middleton, decided to try her hand at making pancakes during a visit to a nursing home. Little did she know that her pancake-making skills would leave her children in a fit of laughter.Despite still recovering from surgery, the Princess of Wales wanted to ensure that her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, would still have a memorable Shrove Tuesday. As they enjoyed their February half-term holidays at their Anmer Hall country retreat in Norfolk, Catherine decided to take charge and make some pancakes for the family.However, things didn’t go as planned. During a visit to the Oxford House nursing home in Slough, Catherine joined a pancake-making challenge with two cooks, including head chef Anna Wright. As she attempted to whip up the perfect pancake, she found herself struggling to even flip it in the air. Giggling at her own pancake fail, Catherine jokingly wished there was music playing to cover up the embarrassing moment.Realizing that her children would witness her pancake disaster, Catherine expressed her concern that they would refuse to eat her pancakes. She imagined them saying, ‘Mummy, we’ve seen you do it – no way.’ The pressure was on as the large number of residents, staff, and press were silently watching her every move.After several attempts and some prodding with a spatula, Catherine finally managed to flip the pancake over. However, she humbly admitted that it was not worth eating. Turning to one of the cooks, she apologized for not doing justice to their culinary skills and playfully referred to her creation as a ‘congealed blob.’While Catherine’s pancake-making skills may not have been up to par, her children definitely had a good laugh about it.
