Rita Moreno Exposes Hollywood Drama Queens on ‘The View’

Rita Moreno shook things up on ‘The View’ when she opened up about the not-so-kind treatment she received from certain Hollywood actresses in the past. During a discussion about her role in the new comedy film ‘The Prank’, Moreno admitted that she drew inspiration from her experiences with mean-spirited women in the industry to bring her character to life. Without naming names, she described them as ‘all of these bitches’ who had been ‘awful’ to her. Co-host Sunny Hostin asked Moreno how she approached such a role, to which she responded with a smirk, ‘I thought of all the things they did to me in my little Puerto Rican past, and that’s what I do’. When asked to reveal names, Moreno declined but did express how much fun it was to channel their negativity for her performance. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, also an EGOT winner, supported Moreno’s comments on the difficult personalities in Hollywood. The View, known for its own share of on-air clashes, provided the perfect platform for Moreno’s candid revelations about her encounters with drama queens in the industry.
