In a surprising turn of events, Patricia Richardson has made it clear that she will not be participating in any potential Home Improvement reboot. Despite Tim Allen’s public statements about the entire cast being on board for a reunion, Richardson revealed in a recent podcast that she was never approached about it. She also pointed out that Jonathan Taylor Thomas was in the same situation, as neither of them had been contacted by Allen. Richardson took to Twitter to set the record straight about her involvement in any reunion projects related to the popular sitcom. She cited various reasons for her lack of interest, including the legal issues of Zachery Ty Bryan, the passing of Earl Hindman, who played Wilson, and the career choices of other cast members. Taran Noah Smith has stopped acting altogether, while Jonathan Taylor Thomas has shifted his focus to directing and writing. With all these factors in play, Richardson is adamant that she does not want to revisit her role as Jill Taylor. Fans of Home Improvement may have to accept that a reboot without Richardson’s involvement is out of the question.
